Where is the option to view photos of places ?

The new version is great and has great new features, but if you import KML or KMZ files (even if your signed in with your Google Account) they dont stick between app invocations. I imported some KMZ files that showed up just fine. Quite GE and when I launched agian they were no longer there. I would give it 5 stars if I could store files between uses!!

What is that? Why did they remove all the pictures on the earth? Photos of places? Why!!!

I was going to google earth, but then noticed the app icon had changed. I knew there was a new update, and it comes with a lot of cool stuff. Thanks

hellooooo.....can you guys make it so that we can choose specifically what it is that we want to see on the map?....like if we want to see just the roads, give an option to click roads or if we want to see just borders then give an option to see only borders....and also there is a kml called " black marble " with this update when I am using the kml it doesnt let me look at the country borders or divisions....if you could fix those 2 things, ty (:

Updated app on my new iPad. Very nice new features have been added. The bad is that in the area where I live the map has reverted back to around 2014 era. I can tell because I live near a permanent pump station being built that is nearing completion. However the Google map used in this latest update shows it as in the early construction stages around 2014. Checked it out on my iPhone which has not been updated yet. Sure enough, it has the newer Google map that shows the pump station structure almost complete. I have no way of telling whether all Google maps have reverted back to earlier maps. Interested to know if others have discovered this problem.

iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 10.3.3. Installed smoothly. Runs flawlessly. Absolutely no issues, nor any idea why the others would have any issues unless its due to mobile version of PEBKAC.

The new update is beautiful and much smoother on newer devices (iPhone 7) but I am no longer able to see coordinates in decimal format. That was our primary use of google earth and it is now unusable as we would have to constantly convert degrees, minutes, seconds into decimal format. Please give us the option back!!!! Although we lost our primary decimal coordinate function for the app, I discovered that KMZ files are fully functional with this new release. No way this doesnt deserve 5 stars!

Elements such as labels are not properly displayed. I suspect this is because I use English(UK). Please fix.

The menu showed strange coding as menu items in Chinese mode. Went back to normal if I switch to English mode (iPhone)

As much as I appreciate that you are trying… This latest update and all the cartoonish gadgetry and gimmickry added – to the main window – is something that should be able to be "settings"d around. Really not something I expected from Google, to force a clunky update on its diehard users. That reverting and not-optional 3-D view, the instant in/not zooming cached view, etc — hopefully this is only because you failed to consult your users and will hopefully change to something less clunky and cartoonish. Or give us pro users an option. It isnt that Im unwilling to change, but all the icons and wasted space is clutter and typically unnecessary. Please give us legacy Google Earth Pro users a settings option for the old functionality and an on screen *location* triangle item, and to rid the window of extraneous dodads. Thx

The labels are showing their own identifiers instead of the actual correct label text

Now street view works without any issues. The enhancements make this app fun and educational. I feel like a bird and an airplane depending on my altitude and angle. Seeing the Moon, Mars and the night sky would upgrade my decision to 5 stars.

In the last 4 versions were slow... and then the 5 version was even more slow!? and it is hard to use because it takes me 20 MINS!!!!! to go into a place!
